He saved break points at 4-all & 5-all, in the two following sets his serve was immaculate – Lendl didn’t get to ‘deuce’ even once as a receiver. The Czechoslovak was unable to return a half of McEnroe’s serves throughout the match! “He took full advantage of the mistakes I made and the few chances I gave him,” Lendl said. “I wasn’t able to take advantage of his mistakes.”
