   # Their third consecutive meeting at Wimbledon, Borg’s third win and almost a copy of their final a year before. The copy in terms of the scoreline because the progress was different – in the ’79 semifinal Borg [2] decided to serve faster and he was rather reluctant to attack the net. In the 3rd set he trailed *0:2 (30-all) to win the last six games. After years 1974-78, Connors [1] didn’t play any major final of ’79, losing semifinals thrice.
