    The Czech led *2:0 in the 4th set, then was *2:4 (deuce). His eight US Open final in a row and the last one (record: 3-5). Becker finished the 3-hour 51-minute final with two powerful serves, an ace and a firm service winner. One out of three meetings between them with Becker winning two sets in tie-breaks (other two cases: New York-Masters ’88 & US Open ’92).
