  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 30-35, 37-31, 34-21, 36-30 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    23 % Wawrinka – 29 of 126
    17 % Djokovic – 22 of 128

Just like in the Australian Open quarterfinal a year ago, Wawrinka snaps Djokovic’s 28-match winning streak. The Serb led 3:0* in the 4th set, then at 4:3 wasted a triple break point. In the last game of the final, he saved match point to create a break point but missed his forehand and lost the match two points afterwards, after Wawrinka’s brilliant backhand down the line. Djokovic has now lost three French Open finals (2012, 2014, 2015) – every time in a four-set battle. Wawrinka becomes the first man since Mats Wilander (1981 & 1982) to win at Roland Garros in juniors & main level events (2003 & 2015). “It will be in the museum of Roland Garros,” Wawrinka joked as he placed a pair on the interview room table. “You can see my shorts every day if you want. Everybody talks about these shorts since I put them on. I quite like (them). Apparently I’m the only one. I had a good talk with Magnus before the final. I was feeling really relaxed until maybe 15 minutes before to go on the court. Then I started to be really nervous. I’m still surprised the way I played, because I think I played amazing today. I was really nervous, but I didn’t really choke. I was always going for my shots, always going for the right play.”

Wawrinka’s route to his 10th title (second major):
    1 Marsel Ilhan 6-3, 6-2, 6-3
    2 Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3
    3 Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-3, 6-2
    4 Gilles Simon 6-1, 6-4, 6-2
    Q Roger Federer 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(4)
    S Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3, 6-7(1), 7-6(3), 6-4
    W Novak Djokovic 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4
