  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 11-25, 26-12, 28-13, 42-34 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    25 % Grosjean – 24 of 93
    15 % Agassi – 15 of 98

Grosjean [10] reached four major semifinals, I assume that one it’s been his most satisfying because he defeated a tennis legend & former champ of the event, in front of his home-crowd. Agassi [3] won the opener with extreme ease, and then the US president Bill Clinton entered the stands bringing ‘bad luck’ to his compatriot. Grosjean was in the zone in the following three sets, his backhand was working better than usually (all types of shots: flat ground-strokes in both directions, lob, slice & dropshot), nevertheless it seemed Agassi would force a decider when he had a break point at 2:0 in the 4th set – the Frenchman responded with a second serve ace. In the last game of the match he fought off a double break point and finished it with an ace out-wide. “It’s pretty disappointing at the moment,” said Agassi. “I played well. He played a lot better. I didn’t realize that Bill Clinton was coming.”

    Serve & volley: Grosjean 0, Agassi 0/1
