The Russian squandered his first match point with an overhead, but Pouille helped committing a double fault in the following point at ‘deuce’… the Frenchman [16] netted his forehand on the second match point. “It is the second title in my career, so I am extremely happy. I just need to keep working and keep going,” said Khachanov. “I felt I was playing good here from the first day. It’s nice to play on a full court in the final, and I hope to come back next year.” Three days later they face each other in the second round of Dubai, and Pouille avenges 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
