   61 % Sampras – 27 of 44 (!!)
   24 % Pioline – 12 of 50

   Pioline [46], the late-bloomer, at the age of 23, in his tournament No. 60 reached his first final in which he was schooled by two years younger Sampras [3] who wasn’t forced to play ‘deuce’ in any of his nine service games & defended his title outplaying a Frenchman in the final again. The first of their four finals, the American won them all (the next year they face each other in Lyon again)… That event changed the course of Pioline’s career and since then he belonged to the best (more or less) twenty players of the 90s.
