  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 34-29, 27-13 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    17 % Agassi – 10 of 57
    28 % Becker – 13 of 46

Pivotal match in their rivalry. Prior to 1990, Becker [2] had won all their three matches, and after 25 minutes of the IW semifinal he could have expected the fourth straight win as he led 4:2* (30-all). Then happened something very unusual – Agassi [8] broke the powerful serving German almost five times in a row! There was 5:0* (40/15) in the 2nd set when Becker’s second serve landed (at least officially) on the line… Agassi was somehow able to read Becker’s serve better than anyone else, and defeated him in 8 consecutive meetings (pretty comfortably in seven), the third match in the streak 8 months later was almost identical #

    Serve & volley: Agassi 0, Becker 3/7

    # Comparison of their two ‘best of three’ semifinals of 1990:
    Ind. Wells: Agassi d. Becker 6-4, 6-1… 1 hour 8 minutes… Total points: 61-42
    Frankfurt: Agassi d. Becker 6-2, 6-4… 1 hour 18 minutes… Total points: 62-41
