The greatest Open era players to win Davis Cup clinchers:
1975 – Bjorn Borg (the same scoreline like in Federer’s clincher)
    1978 – John McEnroe
    1985 – Stefan Edberg

Ivan Lendl (1980) & Mats Wilander (1987) did it in doubles, Andre Agassi (1992) & Novak Djokovic (2010) contributed in the finals. Jimmy Connors is the only typical OE player belonging to this elite, who didn’t win the Davis Cup (participated in the 1984 final).
