   The second of [81] Escude’s three 0-2 comebacks at the Australian Open ’98 (the first Open Era man to achieve this feat), and what’s more intriguing, in each of those matches, the Frenchman was close (match point or mini-match point) to be defeated in different sets: 5th, 4th and 3rd respectively. Against Reneberg [70], who was implementing the S/V tactics, Escude saved a mini-match point at 3:4 in the 4th set… a deciding break in the 5th set he obtained at 3-all.
