Masur [71] was playing very poorly until he trailed 1:4* in the 2nd set, then he got a point with an unclean forehand return, and from that moment to the end, the match was balanced. Masur levelled at 4-all in that set, and was leading on serve in the entire 3rd set. Edberg [5] saved a set point with a volley winner at *6:7 winning the last three points.
