   Fifth and last meeting between these two players (second at majors, the previous one Henman won in front of his home crowd). A quite shocking outcome, but the match was a bit more balanced than the scoreline would suggest – Henman had break points in Rafter’s two opening games, there was 2-all in 1st, 3-all in 2nd & 3:2 for the Brit in the 3rd set. Rafter celebrated one of his most impressive wins in untypical style – after Henman’s double fault on match point, the Australian was very calm, then all of a sudden ripped his T-shirt off & threw it towards his fans! It seemed he would become the champion of the event displaying such an impressive form, he lost in the semifinals though (five sets to Andre Agassi)… Seeds: Henman – 8, Rafter – 12.
