Great rivals, Nadal & Djokovic won their maiden titles as teenagers not dropping a set, playing 25th main-level events each of them, and in both cases those finals umpired Mohamed Lahyani of Sweden. Another similarities: their maiden titles had the same prestige (ATP 250), and both memorable tournaments for them, had been playing on clay in similar period of time; the Dutch Open in Amersfoort was held in years 2002-2008… Djokovic led 3:0* against Massu , but the Chilean came back, saved a set point in the 12th game to lead 3:0* in the tie-break – Djokovic improved to 6:4 & converted his third set point. Decisive break of the 2nd set the Serb obtained at 3-all. The final lasted 2 hours 20 minutes, which has been the second longest two-set victory in Djokovic’s career (2:28 hrs vs Stan Wawrinka 7-6, 7-6 at Indian Wells ’09).
Djokovic’s route to his maiden title:

Q Marc Gicquel 6-3, 6-4
